Przygodowa gra akcji, w której wcielamy się w detektywa prowadzącego skomplikowane śledztwa kryminalne. Judgment zostało stworzone przez autorów popularnej serii Yakuza, czyli Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Jako były prawnik Takayuki Yagami zajmujemy się ściganiem przestępców.
W grze wcielamy się w byłego prawnika o imieniu Takayuki Yagami. Jego ponadprzeciętne zdolności w tym fachu doprowadziły do tragedii – mężczyzna, którego wybronił od kary za morderstwo, po uniewinnieniu popełnił identyczną zbrodnię.
Wydarzenie to odcisnęło piętno na Yagamim i spowodowało, że otworzył agencję detektywistyczną. Wśród spraw, które trafiły na jego biurko znalazła się tajemnicza seria morderstw. Detektyw podejmuje śledztwo i rozpoczyna poszukania sprawcy.
