Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War to siedemnasta główna odsłona popularnego cyklu FPS-ów, rozwijanego przez firmę Activision Blizzard od 2003 roku. Produkcja została opracowana przez należące do wydawcy studio Treyarch, które sprawuje pieczę nad podserią Black Ops od początku jej istnienia.
Fabuła gry Call of Duty Cold War to samodzielna opowieść, do której zrozumienia nie jest potrzebna znajomość poprzednich odsłon cyklu.
