Opis:
Beyond: Two Souls to gra przygodowa określana mianem interaktywnego thrillera. Fabuła skupia się na 15 latach życia Jodie Holmes - dziewczyny, która potrafi kontaktować się z nadnaturalną istotą o imieniu Aiden. Za produkcję odpowiada studio Quantic Dream, które znane jest z realizacji gier przygodowych takich jak Fahrenheit czy Heavy Rain.
Akcja Beyond: Two Souls opisuje 15 lat życia Jodie Holmes (wizerunku i głosu postaci użyczyła amerykańska aktorka Ellen Page). Protagonistka od urodzenia związana jest z tajemniczym bytem, który przeniknął z zaświatów - Aidenem. Relacja ta umożliwia bohaterce rzeczy niedostępne zwykłym ludziom - Aiden może jej zdradzić, co dzieje się za zamkniętymi drzwiami, a nawet przesuwać przedmioty. Beyond: Two Souls kładzie nacisk na fabułę, filmowość i wybory moralne dokonywane podczas zabawy. Przedstawiona w widoku trzecioosobowym rozgrywka opiera się na poruszaniu się po lokacjach, prowadzeniu dialogów i wciskaniu pokazywanej na ekranie kombinacji klawiszy podczas licznych sekwencji QTE.
W czasie zabawy gracz kontroluje nie tylko Jodie, ale również Aidena (w wybranych przez twórców momentach). Dziewczyna może wchodzić w interakcję z obiektami znajdującymi się w świecie gry. Aiden natomiast może przenikać przez ściany, eliminować lub opętywać wrogów oraz „czytać wspomnienia" osób i przedmiotów.
Ze względu na konstrukcję scenariusza Jodie nie może zginąć. Jeśli gracz ma problemy z zaliczeniem konkretnych sekwencji w grze to sekwencji, to gra automatycznie wykona za niego wiele czynności.
